On the eve of U.S. Independence Day, our English Speaking Club brought together participants from the United States, Canada, and Ukraine for an engaging discussion about freedom, history, and national traditions.
We explored the significance of Independence Day and compared how this special occasion is celebrated in each of our countries.
The second part of our meeting was all about language! We learned common American idioms, discussed the situations where native speakers use them, and practiced using them in real-life conversations. It was a fun and practical way to build confidence while expanding our vocabulary.
Thank you to everyone who joined and made the conversation so lively and meaningful. Wishing our American friends a happy Independence Day, and wishing everyone many more opportunities to learn from one another through language and culture!
