Small Joys and Summer Energy

Today, our English Speaking Practice for adults took us on an imaginary summer adventure as we continued exploring the topic “Small Joys and Summer Energy”.
One of the highlights of the session was the interactive game “Pack Your Backpack”. Participants imagined they were heading off on their perfect summer getaway and had to choose only a few essential items to take with them. From books and cameras to sunglasses and anti-mosquitos things, everyone made different choices and explained why their items were so important.
As the game progressed, we added unexpected twists to the journey, forcing participants to rethink their choices and adapt to new situations. This led to lively discussions and gave everyone an opportunity to practice spontaneous speaking in a fun and supportive environment.
Along the way, we expanded our vocabulary by learning and using advanced expressions such as “enhance the experience”, “boost your mood”, “indispensable thing”, and “feel rejuvenated”. Participants actively incorporated these phrases into their discussions while describing their ideal summer adventures and the small pleasures that make life more enjoyable.
The evening reminded us that happiness often comes from simple moments - a favorite book, a beautiful view, time with friends, or an opportunity to disconnect from everyday routines. These small joys not only help us recharge our batteries but also create wonderful opportunities to communicate, connect, and grow in confidence while speaking English. We look forward to seeing you all next week and making this summer unforgettable.

Small Joys and Summer Energy

Our latest English Speaking Practice for adults was filled with positivity, reflection, and inspiring conversations as we explored the topic “Small Joys and Summer Energy”.
We began with a fun Joy Ranking Game, where participants ranked simple summer pleasures - from watching a sunset and enjoying fresh watermelon to summer rain and spontaneous road trips. The most interesting part was explaining our choices and discovering how differently people experience happiness and relaxation.
Next, we completed a Summer Energy Audit, discussing which activities energize us, which leave us feeling drained, and how we can make more room for the things that help us recharge. It was a great opportunity to reflect on our lifestyles while practicing English in meaningful conversations.
Throughout the session, participants expanded their vocabulary by learning and using advanced expressions related to positive emotions and summer experiences. Words like contentment, exhilaration, serenity, and nostalgia, as well as expressions such as soak up the sunshine, savor the experience, and recharge your batteries, helped us describe feelings and experiences more naturally and confidently.
Thank you to everyone who joined and shared their stories, ideas, and summer inspirations. Sometimes it’s the smallest joys that create the biggest smiles—and the best conversations.
