You are what you do!

This week I had the pleasure of hosting engaging online meetings with groups of high students on a topic that resonated with everyone: hobbies. But instead of just listing favorite activities, we dug deeper and explored how hobbies are far far more than ways to fill free time - they’re powerful tools for personal growth, mental health, and even future careers. During all session, students reflected on how their pastimes teach them discipline, creativity, problem-solving etc. To wrap up, I asked students to set a small goal: try something new or spend a little more time on a favorite hobby this week - not because they “have to” but because it adds something meaningful to their lives. We all came up with an idea that hobbies might be an anchor - a safe space where they can express, explore and just be themselves.
